A report by the Metropolitan Taxicab Board released yesterday by an auto engineer mocked the hybrid nyc taxi cabs and also filed a lawsuit to stop New York Cities mandate require all new taxi cabs after October 1st to achieve atleast 25mpg. Not only are the cabs unsafe for riders due to their cramped backseat space but they are also not adequate to be used as taxi’s; these cars were made for the general population driving atmost 15,000 miles a year and not 100,000 miles as do taxi cabs.
